FEE. The story of an ongoing music pilgrimage… Street music, living room concerts, sofa-beds, lyrics ‘on the road’ – the whole FEE. thing always rolls along, towards happiness – for people to spread. Long since performing on bigger stages. Also excellent. With a Udo Lindenberg Award – the “Panic Award”. “The Panic Award for non-conformist music. Unadapted? You could say that. For her, it means success, YES: on her own terms. No fake, no writing camp, no musical one-size-fits-all. But never with her head in the clouds, from which money or a spotify stream could rain. And? Go!
Now, in 2020, FEE. is back with their first single “Chéri” from the album “Nachtluft”, announced for September. “Chéri” is charmingly sassy, with a rich brass section. Uplifting. A touch of “ZAZ” and the good old “Wir sind Helden” times. “Chéri, Chéri, are we kidding ourselves?” sings FEE and, as so often, speaks between the lines. It’s about feet falling asleep, about expectations and dreams, about freethinking and questioning.
FEE. makes her promise come true: For album number two, she takes matters into her own hands. Crowdfunding,
“check,” recordings “check,” and most importantly, emotion, “check.” The latter, from sugar sweet to crazy, from dreamy to philosophical. Her songs are impetuous odes to life, bizarre observations, self-irony, familiar sisterliness. Anything that comes from the heart, goes.
