Ragawerk New Album “Nila” – OUT NOW

The new Ragawerk album, titled “Niḷa,” is released today. On their second album, Max Clouth and Martin Standke combine jazz, electronica, Krautrock, and Indian ragas to create a fascinating fusion of sounds. With atmospheric guitars, driving drums, bass, and exotic percussion instruments, they create a sound that ranges from earthy directness to cosmic clarity. The voices of Shruti Ramani, Sophie-Justine Herr, and Valeria Maurer lend additional depth to individual tracks. “Niḷa”—Sanskrit for blue—reflects the nuances of light and color in each piece and invites listeners to enjoy a magical, meditative listening experience. Additionally, Ragawerk will play a duo concert tomorrow, on September 27, 2025, at the Jazzfest Bonn in the Bundeskunsthalle. Furthermore, Ragawerk will also perform at the German Jazz Festival in Frankfurt in fall 2025, as well as play several other shows!
