Menna Mulugeta & Daniel Stelter: Gotta Go (Release: February 27th, 2026)

‘Gotta Go’ – a song about letting go when, despite all efforts, there is no longer any common ground. It tells of farewells and new beginnings, of vulnerability and the liberating power of being true to oneself.
The lyrics of the new song by Menna Mulugeta and Daniel Stelter are written in English and Amharic – Menna’s first time writing in her native Ethiopian language. ‘Gotta Go’ builds bridges between languages and cultures and also connects this diversity musically: Menna Mulugeta’s unique voice meets the warm, subtle sound of guitarist Daniel Stelter and the urban groove of drummer and producer Tommy Baldu – together they create a modern, soulful sound cosmos.
In terms of content, ‘Gotta Go’ ties in with the soulful ‘Common Ground’, which appeared on Daniel Stelter’s album ‘Wooden Songs’, and at the same time forms its counterpart: while ‘Common Ground’ tells of the search for connection, ‘Gotta Go’ describes the moment when one realises that some paths must continue separately.
