Trio Ivore at SommerMusik Welten in Lich!

This year, Trio Ivoire feat. Tamara Lukasheva will play a concert at the Traumstern cinema in Lich as part of the 17th SommerMusik Welten!

TRIO IVOIRE combines the inventive spirit of two German improvisers and a sound poet from Côte d’Ivoire: it’s all about the sheer pleasure of playing, which extends freely across traditions and continents. Pianist Hans Lüdemann, who had previously worked with musical greats such as Jan Garbarek, Paul Bley, Heinz Sauer and Marc Ducret, met balaphone master Aly Keïta on a solo tour in West Africa in 1999. That same year, they founded the percussive trio with drums, played by Christian Thomé since 2013.

The trio has invited another special guest: Tamara Lukasheva, a virtuoso improviser with an enormous vocal range. She originally comes from a family of musicians in Odessa (Ukraine) and began her professional career with pianist Jury Kuznecov and pianist Roxsane Smirnova in the Horizon Duo. In 2007 she successfully graduated from the Odessa College of Art and Music as a pianist and jazz singer. Afterwards she studied for three years at the College of Music in Donetsk. In the meantime, she has become a major player on the German jazz scene.
