The song “Monte Cara” is the first release by singer and guitarist Cláudia Sofia from Mindelo (Cape Verde Islands), home to many internationally renowned musicians such as Cesária Èvora, Tito Paris, Bau, Luis Morais, Fantcha and many others.
“Monte Cara” is the name of the emblematic mountain massif that dominates the landscape of the port of Mindelo, and the song is also about the extraordinary beauty of the island of Sao Vicente, its inhabitants and its traditions. The accompanying video clip with its beautiful landscape shots and atmospheric images confirms this, so to speak.
